If you have been part of Abiding Shepherd for a while, you may recall from past years the name of this season "ADVENT" and the start of a new church year, is derived from the Latin verb meaning “to come”. In the past we have focused on Jesus’ first coming (Incarnation) and when Jesus came to Jerusalem to die for our sins (Passion). This year, with only a three-Sunday series, we will focus on the third observation of Advent – Jesus’ second coming (Judgment).
