We are a people and a world in need of rescue. Thankfully Jesus came to do exactly that! Dig into Isaiah 51:4-6 and embrace "Rescue Realized"
When it comes to Jesus and His coming, may we especially practice "The Lost Art of Listening."
When you're afraid to move forward....
or don't know what to do....
...there's God, who has promised to give you "Courage."
There is so much that the world is throwing at us. But in the face of it all, God, "You promised to give me courage!"
On Christmas Eve the familiar Christmas verse from Isaiah, Chapter 9, verse 6 teaches us why the Messiah, Jesus Christ, is described with these names and what they mean about His Character.
Hearing Check:
Most of us know by now that Pastor Krause is just a bit hard of hearing (that's why he asks people to repeat things when we are at worship). The older I get (and yes, I am getting old) the more I seem to struggle to remember things. While forgetting things can sometimes be a problem, what if forgetting could be a good thing? What if there was something God actually told us we should forget? Our third Advent lesson “I'm forgetting something" teaches us about good forgetting as we study Isaiah 43:18-19.
